As a group we realised that we made need permission to film in certain locations without dirution from the local authority.
we looked up on how to gain permission to film in these locations and came across this website;
film lodon agency
'Small or Large Film Crew?
For productions filming on London's public streets, in theory a 'small crew' is a crew of 5 people or fewer, using a handheld or (in some boroughs) a tripod camera. A small crew should be able to film on the street without obtaining permission, however legislation in this area is open to interpretation and if the local authority is not aware that you will be filming in the area there is a chance that you may be asked to stop.'
'Street Filming
Provided filming or photography does not cause an obstruction, there is no restriction to filming on London streets. No licence or any form of official permission is required.'
From this research we found that it was not neccassery to get permission from the local authorities because we are a small crew do a small film production that shoud not disrupt citizens. However we decided that it was better to get permission just incased we were asked.
A member of our group will do a application to gain permission for the locations required.
