Looking back at my AS I realised that the research process is very important and is identifiable through your final outcome, reason for this is it shows whether or not you really thought about your initial plan and conducted professionalism. However I think that at the time we didn’t have that mind frame because of lack of time and planning. I felt that our research into mise en scene especially could have been thought out more carefully and would have made a big impact in our thriller. Looking at websites such as imdb and other trailers to get inspiration is something I believe we mastered, we did a lot of research on other films to get a feel of what was to come when making our story board and animatic.

This year on the other hand, I think because of the struggles we went through last year, the group is trying to be a lot more organised in our planning and research although we changed our song choice and couldn’t stick to one in particular, now that we have that we have a better idea of the shots, location and mise en scene.
