I viewed many student works and the first video that drew my
attention was the remake of Florence and the Machine. This really intrigued me
from the first minute it started. This was because of the use of lighting,
location and fast paced editing. You can
tell that this group thought long and hard about how to go about this remake
and in the end produced an amazing video.
The effects used emphasised the pace
of the video and contracted the flashing/bright lighting used. The ‘warning’
message at the beginning of the video was also another aspect that stood out to
me; the fact that they thought about the viewer made it seem that much more
professional and you can tell that they took it very seriously. In addition the
use of repeated scenes and slow motion is something that I really liked as it
was thought it very carefully and made the video flow.
